The Shire's Customer Service Officers are trained in all aspects of Council business, as well as being a great source of information regarding what's on in our Shire and other general advice. Notify the Shire of Your Postal Address
Change of address notifications must be in writing. You can fax, post or email sdwk@sdwk.wa.gov.au
Register Your Dog(s)
The cost to register your dog is as follows:

Pensioner and Senior Citizens will receive a 50% discount on the above prices when showing their Pension or Senior Citizen Cards.
If you move into the Shire and your dog is still currently registered with your old Council, you can: - change your address with your old Council so their records are up to date (the registration is still valid); or
- bring your registration certificate & receipt from your old Council into the Shire Office and transfer at no cost to our Shire.

Update the Electoral Roll
Once you have lived at your new address for more than one month you are eligible to be enrolled for your new address. You are required to enrol for your new address within 21 days of being entitled to be enrolled. It is important to keep your enrolment up to date to ensure your name is included on the correct roll if an election is called and to retain your right to vote.

Join the Library
The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley provides Library and Information Services through the Derby and Fitzroy Crossing Public Libraries. Membership is free to permanent residents of the Shire.
Ordering a Rubbish BinIt is a good idea to order your bins approximately two weeks before moving into your new home. Application forms and information on waste collection days are available here or from the Shire offices. |
