Council Meetings
Ordinary Meetings
Council conducts its Ordinary meetings on the last Thursday of each month. There are eleven Ordinary meetings per year with Council in recess during January. Seven meetings are held in Derby, three at Fitzroy Crossing (March, June and November) and one at an Aboriginal community to be nominated (August). Members of the public are welcome to attend as observers. Dates, times and venues for Council meetings may change from time to time therefore persons interested in attending should email the Shire Office in Derby at sdwk@sdwk.wa.gov.au
Topic Specific/Special Meetings
Special Meetings of Council are convened as the need arises. Members of the public are welcome to attend as observers unless the matters to be discussed are of a confidential nature. Persons interested in attending should email the Shire Office in Derby an sdwk@sdwk.wa.gov.au to confirm details of date, time and venue.

It is possible to obtain a copy of the upcoming Council Meetings agenda by downloading a copy here. Agendas are only available from the Monday before the Council Meeting.
Recent Council Minutes Minutes of Council Meetings for the past year are held in the public libraries at Derby and Fitzroy Crossing and are available for perusal. Copies of Council Meeting Minutes in PDF format are also available online.

Council Minutes in hard copy from 1970 to date are held at the Shire’s main administration office in Derby and are available for perusal upon request. |
