Corporate Services
All Shire of Derby/West Kimberley administration is managed centrally through the Derby Administration office located at 277 Loch Street, Derby.
This building is often referred to as the “main building” and contains the CEO, his secretary, the Executive Manager of Corporate Services, and the finance and administration employees.
This office is generally the first point of contact for the public.
The Administration office is open from 8.00am to 4.00pm Monday to Friday.

Derby/West Kimberley Skillshare
Skillshare has one office in Derby located at 1 Clarendon Street, Derby. The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley also runs the Skillshare Office in Broome. This department receives Commonwealth funding to run a number of programs delivering services to Youth, Mature aged and all unemployed persons within the Kimberley Region.
Fitzroy Crossing Visitor Centre
The Fitzroy Crossing Visitor Centre is located on the Great Northern Highway in Fitzroy Crossing. This is operated by the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley. This building contains the Visitor Centre, the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley office and the Library. The Fitzroy Crossing Area Manager is located here and generally two to three employees dependent upon the season. All the employees in this office are multi skilled in both Customer Service and basic Library skills. Fitzroy Crossing DepotThe Fitzroy Crossing Depot is located in Emanuel Way in Fitzroy. Based here is the Fitzroy Crossing Works Supervisor/Ranger and the Fitzroy Town Crew. As with the Derby Depot they maintain the gardens, verges, roads and Parks and the Airport in Fitzroy. As it is only a small crew they become multi skilled in many areas. Although coming under the Corporate Services structure it maintains a working relationship with the Technical and Development Services Department and the Derby Depot. |
