Venue Booking

When booking any Shire facility, the best way to start is to ring the Administration Office on (08) 9191 0999 or email on reception@sdwk.wa.gov.au and check the availability of the facility. Once a clear date has been temporarily booked the relevant forms can then be sent/handed out to the applicant for completion. These forms include information on the facility, Fees and Charges, Conditions of Hire, Cleaning Requirements and Application Form.

Application forms must be received by the Customer Services Officer/ Receptionist one week prior to the hiring date for authorisation.

Should alcohol or food be consumed during the hiring of any Shire Facilities, copies of Liquor and Food Licences are requested for Council records prior to the event.

• Liquor Licenses can be obtained from the Court House in Derby. Contact Number (08) 9191 1406.
• Food Licenses can be obtained from the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley’s Development Services Office. Contact Number (08) 9191 0999, or email dscso@sdwk.wa.gov.au

All Bond and Hire Fees must be paid prior to the hiring of the facility and the keys being signed out. Keys must be returned to the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley Administration office by 10am the next working day.

In-Kind Donations

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley now has a policy on applications for In-Kind Donations which have replace the old system of wavering of Hire Fees. Applications forms are available for the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley Administration Office. Applications must be received by the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley no less than 2 weeks prior to the event to allow for approval by the Donations Committee.
