Parks and Playgrounds in Derby
Lytton ParkLocated on Loch Street, diagonally opposite Woolworth’s, this park features modern playground equipment, open grassed areas and shade trees.
Apex ParkLocated on Rowell Street in Derby, this park is in a residential area near the school and it again features modern playground equipment, bench seats and shade trees.
Wharf ParkLocated at the end of Jetty Road, adjacent to the Wharf, this park includes the Centenary of Federation Pavilion which was opened on Sunday, 9 September 2001. The centerpiece of this construction was an indigenous design mosaic on the floor which reflects the history of the region. The Wharf Park also has access to public toilets and plenty of parking.
Stanley SquareSurrounding the Shire’s Administration Building, Stanley Square offers large open, grassed areas, shade trees and bench tables. It is also home to our ANZAC memorial and is adjacent to the Botanical Gardens and Civic Centre.
Derby Memorial Swimming PoolDerby Memorial Pool has a semi-shaded and grassed area equipped with a playground. This area can be hired by the public and free use of barbeque facilities is available.
Parks and Playgrounds in Fitzroy Crossing
Fitzroy GardensLocated next to the Visitor Centre you will find Fitzroy Gardens. With plenty of parking and open grassy areas this is a perfect place for a picnic.
Fitzroy Crossing Recreation CentreAdjacent to the town oval you will find playground equipment and shady areas.
