Registers
The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley holds cemetery records dating back to 1908. The Derby Cemetery Register can be viewed at the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley Administration Office and the Fitzroy Crossing Register can be viewed at the Fitzroy Crossing Visitor Centre.
Application forms for burial and Applications to Reserve Grave Sites can also be obtained from the above offices. Notice of more than 48 hours for burial are required to prevent a late fee being charged and to enable the grave to be dug. All fees for burial can be obtained from Council’s Fees & Charges Schedule.

Funeral Director's Permit
To be registered within the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley as a Funeral Director a Funeral Director's Permit must be issued. Forms are available at the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley Administration Office. Application Forms for Burial must be completed and returned by a registered Funeral Director.
