Dog Exercise Areas

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley has introduced Dog exercise areas in and around Derby and Fitzroy Crossing to enable Dog owners to walk their Dog’s off the lead without posing a problem to other pedestrians or traffic. This does not restrict you from walking your Dog in other areas as long as the animal is on a lead. Failure to do so could result in a fine.

  1. A Dog not being a Greyhound.
  2. A Dog can be off a lead whilst accompanied by a competent person who is in reasonable proximity to the Dog.
