Household Verge Collections
NEXT COLLECTION IS THE WEEK COMMENCING

The Shire, in conjunction with Kimberley Waste Services, provides four collections per year of household waste for your convenience.
The next put out date is the date between 30th January to the 7th February. Please do not place items on the verge prior to this time. Large fines may apply. The collection of waste will commence at 6.00am on Monday 8th February.
- Waste should be sorted into 3 separate piles - 1 for garden waste, 1 for whitegoods and metals and 1 for everything else.
- A maximum of 10 cubic metres of waste per property will only be collected. Only waste placed on the verge can be collected. The Shire is unable to pick up waste from inside private properties.
- No responsibility is accepted for reticulation installed on verges.
We will collect: - Garden waste - all tree and shrub prunings are shredded and recycled as mulch. Prunings no more than 1.5m long. Bundle and tie thorny prunings (eg Bougainvillea)
- Refrigerators, air conditioners (degassed and ticketed) whitegoods and other metals - Remove door
- Old furniture and other junk
We will not collect: - Car/truck bodies or bulky items larger than three (3) cubic metres
- Containerised liquids, asbestos or other hazardous material
- Building rubble and waste
- All tyres
No rubbish or waste is to be placed on the verge earlier than TWO weekends prior to collection dates. Do not place rubbish on the verge after collection is completed. Large fines may apply for littering.
Waste is not to be placed within 1.5m of any structures including fences, power poles, water mains, etc.
