About the role:

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is seeking a talented, committed and experienced person with an environmental health qualification, to undertake the significant role of Aboriginal Environmental Health Program Coordinator.

 

You will to join our team based in Derby on a permanent full time basis and manage programs and initiatives aimed at improving the health and well-being of Aboriginal Communities within the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.

 

You will need to be self-motivated and enthusiastic with the essential qualification of a Bachelor of Applied Science (Environmental Health) or equivalent and the ability to be authorised by the WA Department of Health to work as an EHO in Western Australia, along with a Class C Manual Drivers Licence.

 

Also required is experience as an Environmental Health Officer, excellent time management and organisational skills, cultural awareness, budget and expenditure control, sound verbal and written skills, well developed customer service and community liaison skills, teamwork and leadership qualities.
