About the role:
The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Environmental Health Officer to join our team.
The position requires:
- Close interaction with members of the community including business owner/operators;
- Daily tasks require a sound understanding of public health and pollution control legislation, food hygiene and safety standards, environmental health practice and a good understanding of emerging trends in these areas.

About You:
- Excitement and passion about living in Derby and working with the community
- Strong organisational and customer service skills that will assist you in investigating environmental health related complaints and taking appropriate enforcement action to reach a resolution;
- An ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
- Demonstrated experience as an Environmental Health Officer.
