Work Type:

Full time Fixed Term – 3 year contract

 

Salary:

up to $125,000.00pa (plus generous superannuation) depending on qualifications and experience

 

About you:

We are seeking a professional person with tertiary qualifications and/or experience in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline to oversee the Department providing advice to Council and the public for the orderly compliance and development of the Shire.

About the role:

You will be responsible:

  • To ensure the provision of open, transparent and good governance to the community and the organisation.
  • To ensure the provision of high quality engineering and technical services to meet the expectation of internal and external customers.
  • To ensure the provision of quality Works, Parks and Gardens, capital and operational services meet the expectation of internal and external customers.
  • To participate in the continuous improvement of the performance of the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.
  • To efficiently and effectively manage the Infrastructure Directorate human, plant and other resources for the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.
  • To ensure a professional customer focused service team, committed to the core values of the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.
  • To ensure the annual Directorate budget is maintained within an acceptable margin.
  • To coordinate the sound financial management of Infrastructure Assets.
