Cooking, swimming and drumbeat, science day, movie day and nights, multisport nights at the Derby Town Oval and Recreation Centre, disco night, hanging lantern making, a tour of the fire station and finishing off with an epic pool party! It was a jam packed two weeks of School Holiday fun.
Both the Junior and Senior Programs were really well attended. The Junior Program had 15-20 children per session and the Senior Program had up to 150 youth and their families come together for afternoons and evenings of activity and fun.
The famous Community Pool Party was a great way to end the October School Holidays, with 209 people attending!
We couldn't have done it on our own, special thanks to our program partners Winun Ngari (RSAS), Boab Network, World Vision, Kimberley Mental Health & Drug Service and DDHS. Working together provided the Youth and Children with a varied, exciting and enjoyable program. There was loads of evidence that much fun was had by all.
Thank you to the kids and their families for getting involved and bringing so much excitement and energy to all the activities. This was a fantastic program and we will all continue to grow and develop to make future programs even better!
