The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley covers a vast area of 118,560 square kilometres and is located more than 2,000 kilometres north of Perth. In our Shire there are numerous Aboriginal communities and two main towns – Derby and Fitzroy Crossing.

Two rare Wandjina paintings will be the star attraction when the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley presents the acquisitive 2008 Kimberley Art Prize on Saturday, July 12.
The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is delighted at the recent announcement by OzJet that it will increase its service to Derby (Curtin) to include Mondays as of 12th May, 2008.
