We’re excited to welcome families back to one of Derby’s much-loved community spaces, now safer, brighter and better than ever.

Back in 2024, the Shire temporarily closed the park due to safety concerns. Rather than simply replacing the old equipment, we reached out to the community to ask what you wanted to see in the new and improved space.

Thanks to funding from the Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program and the dedicated work of our Shire team, the playground has been upgraded to meet modern safety standards, with improved equipment and features that reflect what the community asked for. This is part of our ongoing upgrades to community spaces – keep an eye out for more project announcements.
