Shire of Derby/West Kimberley is seeking EOIs for the lease of the Derby Airport Hangar (Old RFDS Building).

Shire of Derby/West Kimberley has adopted its 2025/26 Annual Budget, following the Ordinary Council (Commissioner) Meeting held on 18 June 2025.

It's getting colder Derby! As the weather cools down for the Dry Season, the Shire would like to advise the community that from Friday 27 June 2025, the Derby Memorial Swimming pool will be closed on Fridays for the remainder of the Dry season this year (June, July, August and September).

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley has received a development application to use and/or develop land for the following purpose and public comments are invited.

The Shire wishes to advise the community that the new Fees and Charges for the 2025-2026 financial year have been endorsed and will take effect on 1 July 2025.

All landowners and occupiers in the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley are required to have fire breaks and fuel hazard reduction measures in place by Monday 30 June 2025, and maintain them until Wednesday 31 December 2025.

The Shire would like to advise the community works will be commencing on the Derby Airport Road next week.

Please note that all court facilities at Ashley Street Recreation Centre will be closed from Sunday, 1 June to Sunday, 29 June 2025 for resurfacing works.

A Development Assessment Panel (DAP) meeting has been scheduled on Wednesday 28 May at the Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage (140 William Street, Perth) to determine a development application within the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley. Please see the attached notice for details.

Please be advised of new opening times for Fitzroy Crossing Visitors Centre. New hours are 8.30am to 3.00pm Monday to Thursday.
