Youth Centre & Services

The Shire of Derby/West Kimberley has an ongoing commitment to working with young people, their families, government and community agencies to foster youth friendly communities that promote the health and wellbeing of young people.

To this end, the Shire considers itself to be both a provider and facilitator of youth services in Derby and Fitzroy Crossing.

The services are provided through the Derby Youth Centre and the basketball courts at Fitzroy Crossing. Other venues are also utilised such as swimming pools and the skate park and popular local spots.

The team is support by the Youth Services Coordinator, Team Leaders in Derby and Fitzroy Crossing and workers at both sites. Both are involved in collaborative work with stakeholders and partners.
