The Derby Civic Centre is undergoing significant upgrades thanks to a Lotterywest grant of more than $1.29 million.
The project is scheduled to get underway in July and will deliver the installation of air-conditioning, replacement of the existing roof, and essential building maintenance works to improve the comfort, functionality, accessibility and longevity of this important community facility.
For the safety and efficiency of the construction works, the Derby Civic Centre will be closed for the duration of the project. Building works are anticipated to be completed by November. To ensure continued access to essential amenities within the town centre, the Derby Youth Centre toilets will be open to the public from 8:00am to 3:30pm Monday to Friday.
We encourage residents and visitors to use these facilities during the advertised hours and ask that all users help keep the amenities clean and respectful for everyone.
Shire of Derby/West Kimberley thanks Lotterywest for its continued support in helping deliver improved community infrastructure across the region.
