Unsealed Roads Service Level Plan 2026

At the Ordinary Council Meeting held 21 May 2026, Council endorsed the Unsealed Roads Service Level Plan 2026 which includes changes to the management of the un-sealed road network within the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley.

The plan defines the management approach and levels of service across the network and a way forward aiming to meet relevant standards in relation to the discharge of duties of the Council in the performance of road management functions.

Implemented changes are based on a hierarchal and scientific approach of classifying roads by importance of road purpose and usage.

This decision ensures the long-term sustainability of the Shire now and into the future.
